Taken on an RSPB outing. This image was widely published and received many comments on facebook - some saying that this must be a 'fake' composite image. I can assure you it is genuine taken with a 200mm lens and heavily cropped. The Times needed the RAW file to assure themselves it was genuine before they published it. See also:
